About Kyle
I’m Kyle Pelgen, a mortgage and finance broker based here in Brisbane. I’m originally from Papua New Guinea, where I grew up in Lae, Morobe Province. My family runs a business spanning smallgoods manufacturing, commercial and residential real estate, property management, and distribution. Growing up around it taught me firsthand how much client interactions and proper planning matter to getting a project outcome right.
I’ve spent the past five years working in the banking industry here in Brisbane, and that same lesson has stuck with me — the details matter, and getting them right the first time saves everyone a headache later. So that’s how I work. I explain things properly, I answer the phone, and I stay your main point of contact from the first conversation through to settlement and beyond, keeping you properly informed at every step, with a team behind me making sure nothing sits idle. I’m passionate about helping people reach their property goals, whatever stage they’re at.
First home buyers, growing families upgrading, investors building a portfolio — if that sounds like your situation, let’s have a chat.

Kyle and the team have been amazing throughout our entire journey of buying land and building our first home. From our initial enquiry and every step of the way, Kyle has continued to provide exceptional customer service, offering support, patience and reassurance whenever we’ve been stressed along the way.
Kyle assisted me to source the best possible loan for my investment needs. Always efficient, friendly and kept me informed throughout the process. Highly recommend.
Kyle has been great in helping navigate the refinancing of my loan facility for what turned out to be a tricky situation. I would strongly recommend Kyle to help you secure your housing finance.
Kyle was great to work with. Despite some last-minute requests, everything went smoothly and I’m really pleased with what he was able to secure.

Recently granted a Pacific Engagement Visa?
If you’ve come to Australia through the Pacific Engagement Visa (subclass 192) ballot and you’ve just started work, buying a home might be closer than you think — but the details are easy to get wrong working it out on your own.
- ?Want to know if you can buy a home in Australia as a new permanent resident?
- ?Wondering if a brand-new job is enough employment history for a lender?
- ?Curious whether you might be eligible for any first home buyer grants or schemes?
No cost, no obligation — just a straight answer on where you stand. This is general information only and not migration advice — for visa-specific questions, please speak with a registered migration agent.

Common questions
Before you reach out.
Does it cost anything to use a mortgage broker?
In most cases, no — I’m paid a commission by the lender once your loan settles, not by you. Any fees or commissions are always disclosed upfront and in writing, before you commit to anything, as part of your Credit Guide and Quote.
I’m self-employed, new to Australia, or my situation is a bit unusual — can you still help?
Often, yes. Lender policy varies a lot from one situation to the next, so rather than guess here, book a free chat and I’ll give you a straight answer on what’s realistic for you specifically.
What documents should I have ready?
Typically photo ID, recent payslips or tax returns, bank statements and details of any existing debts. I’ll send you a tailored checklist after our first conversation, so you’re not guessing.
Can you help even if I’m not buying — just refinancing?
Yes — a large part of what I do is reviewing existing loans for people who just want to know if they’re still on a competitive deal.
Ready when you are

Fifteen minutes is usually enough to tell you whether now’s the right time, and what it would take to get there.
